itutorfortravel - I'm so excited for you. I was tearing up at your post and picturing your daughters face. I hope I can get the same reaction from my kids in a couple of weeks. Although I think my 10 year old is starting to suspect something is up.

My DD10 loves to pin collect and trade. Although she also has a very tough time picking which ones she will part with. I have to make sure to sneak her portfolio into our bags. My DD6 tries to pin trade, but she doesn't really understand the concept of giving up the pins just likes to get them.

I can't believe there is only 19 days left. I haven't even had time to panic yet and probably won't get to until the weekend before. Then I will lose my mind.

FE Update - Currently have 12 families / cabins signed up with a total of 21 kids. Please let me know by Friday if you want to participate and I will send everyone who is participating the list this weekend. Those who are participating:

Good morning everyone! Today is DD's birthday so it's another big day here We're going up to her school at lunchtime with the cutest little cupcakes with goldfish piped on the top...keeping with the islandy theme!

Also running over to an alteration place to see what they can do with a dress and skirt that I got on a ridiculously good sale at Ann Taylor...I hope they can get them ready for me to bring.

DH still has lots of shopping to do and his procrastination is stressing me out!!! I am going on a girls' weekend this weekend and I am looking forward to it but at the same time wish I had those extra days to force DH to get his tail out to the mall to get his shopping done! Hope you guys are able to motivate your guys better

I just called and found out that they are going to have the new Hannah Montana movie and Race to Witch Mountain...they also mentioned BH Chihuahua, Bolt, Jonas Bros., Bedtime Stories, Swing Vote, Wall E, and a couple others that I can't remember. We are psyched!!!

OMG! I will never be able to pry my DD out of the theater while the Jonas Bros. are playing!!! If you hear screems all over the ship - don't panic - just bet that she's watching the JB's AGAIN! (side note: DD and I were at the concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC when they were filming this 3D movie... that's our little claim to fame!)

DS & DD alike will be thrilled to hear about the movies... thanks so much for finding out for us!! I had just seen on one of the travel channel shows that they had upgraded the movie theaters to !! Very Cool...They've been really hoping for Bolt and Race to Witch Mountain (and 'Bedtime and 'Shop too!)... I was hoping for a sneak peak to "UP" (I think that's the one with the old guy and the balloons). Personally, although I'd like to see at least one movie (we never even made it into the theater last cruise) - there's just so much to do on the ship that I can't do anywhere else that I probably won't make it in again!... but we'll see....

Okay, so I probably PO'ed DD's teacher and teacher asst. today! In keeping with the island theme from last Saturday's birthday party and the whole cruise thing, I got the cutest little cupcakes to take to school today. Blue icing on top with an orange goldfish made of icing on the "ocean"....well, just imagine a group of 21 first graders with cupcakes, let alone cupcakes with dark blue icing - oh my!!! I had renamed a number of them "Bluebeard" by the end of lunch - LOL! They seemed to have a good time, and the teacher said they were going to library after lunch so at least the teacher didn't get the brunt of the sugar rush and blue tinted class and the librarian doesn't know me...at least she didn't until today...ha ha ha

My DD and niece both love to help inthe kitchen. For my DD birthday we did cupcakes at school as well with a little twist. We purchased aprons and chef's hats for each 1st grader. Then we bought non-iced cupcakes and a bunch of icing, sprinkles, etc. So, each child got to decorate their own cupcake. Also, we held the party in the classroom rather than the cafeteria.

CAN YOU IMAGINE THE SCENE? To this day there is probably sprinkles still in the light fixtures. Good thing DW is the school's Admin Asst.

Hey Willie! That sounds like a wonderful time for the kids! The pictures are great I wish we could do something like that...unfortunately our school district will not allow homemade cupcakes treats at class parties...it all has to be store-bought I would love to have done something fun like you did!

We have the same rule. We ordered plain cupcakes from Walmart. The icing and sprinkles were in there unopened containers until the party started.

Two years ago when we shopped, I found a necklace I LOVED in St. Maarten. It was in one of the jewlery shops right on the pier. We tried to negotiate a bit but she just wouldn't come down and we figured we still has St. Thomas, we'd look for it there. Wouldn't you know, it wasn't there and it turned out to be the biggest regret of our trip! We both still talk about it to this day. So my advice would be if you see something you like, buy it!

Wow! Busy day on the boards!!! Thank you for all the info on the movies! I am also looking forward to the"confessions" movie. Walking/drinking/movies...sounds like lots of girl fun!!!!

The coverups I ordered from Lands End came in the mail today....I LOVE THEM!!! Thank you to those who recommended looking there.

I am doing some serious packing this weekend and can't wait. Although my DH really wants me to try to pack us in 3 suitcases. This will be a challange since they all have to be under 50 pounds. He doesn't want to pay anymore than we have to in all the luggage fees they have now. Luckily we are packing for warm weather!!!!
