Apr 28-May 6 or May 5 - May 12, 2006?

We're starting to plan our next Disney trip and I was wondering if anyone had an opinoin on the crowds for these 2 weeks. We were a bit disappointed on our last trip because we went the 3rd week in May -- the crowds were much bigger than the first week in May in years past.

I was looking at the updated crowd blog and it's predicting a 7 or 6 level for the last few days of April - it ends on April 30th so I don't know if they expect the crowd levels to remain the same -- get bigger or smaller.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm trying to factor in spring breaks and the end of the school year.

Easter is late next year. I think the latter dates in May would be better. You're also more likely to distance yourself from Grad Nights at the Magic Kingdom, which would have that park closing early on the weekends to all other guests.

You really can't base decisions on comparisons between today and anytime in the last 4 years. Tourism is up. Crowds are increasing across the board at WDW. But of the dates you listed, I would take the mid-May dates over the April/May period.
