It is 8:21 AM here in New Orleans. When I awoke at 6 AM, I had no thoughts of taking a Disney Cruise next month. Now I do! I will make a decision on this cruise within the next hour, so maybe we'll be joining you.

I was reading some Navigators from a couple weeks ago on the Magic and the Captain was "John" and the CD was "Brent". I remember Brent as he was the cruise director on our Fantasy cruise a few years ago.

We've cruised with Brent a few times and he's one of our favorites! It'll be exciting to have Captain John if he's our captain...he's the one DCL captain that we've never had.

Wanted to introduce ourselves quickly, My name is Andrea and my DH Jeremy and I will be joining you all on this cruise! Just booked it today! We are going to be doing the one on April 12th as well, so a Back to Back voyage with 14 nights total! I am really excited to see and potentially meet some of you! Started packing last night and realized I have mostly tank tops- no short sleeve shirts! Have to start digging through summer totes!!

Thanks for the welcome!! I have been trying to throw together things like crazy!! You guys still have 2 weeks but I only have 6 days until I leave for Florida, so I am packing, planning, and just casually running around like a chicken with my head cut off! We are trying not to pack too much, and make use of the laundry facilities on the ship, have never done it before, but hope it works out! This will be a totally new experience for us being gone from home that long...it will be the longest trip we have ever taken...I don't know how 16 days away from home is going to be! I know some of you have done the repo cruises and such, and those are long too! We wanted to do a transatlantic back in 2013 but it just didn't work out, maybe one day!

For the moment I am trying to see which excursions look the most exciting! We didn't do any excursions through Disney for our Alaska or Bahamian cruises, this time we wanted to try some to see how they work out. I finally have a few minutes to rest, so I am going to try and read through the thread to catch up on everything! Soooooo excited!!!!

It's good to know that the laundry on the ship will work out! We have to use Free & Clear detergent so was planning on bringing our own with us, I wonder if their washers can use those little bubble pacs or if I would need to take something else? They may even have it, I am just not sure?

Sorry, I can't help too much with either question. I think the washers will take the little bubble packs--they're just regular front loading washers.

Hello all, first time cruiser. Going with my two kids Tanner DS(8) and Margaret-Anne DD (6)..... Just wondering if there any other single parents going with kids and if so, what did you do while the kids went to the oceaneer club with other kids? We are flying from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and my kids haven't stopped talking about it since I booked it and we have watched many videos on YouTube....sorry for the ramble, I'm very excited as well ........See you all soon .....Safe travels

Simply contact DCL and request/order the DCL transfers to the port. I believe it is $35 per person to the port, and if you want transportation back to WDW or the airport it's another $35 per person. If you purchase the transfers, when you check into the hotel just let them know that you're taking a cruise and that you have DCL transfers. You will then receive a letter from DCL (either at check in or the night before the cruise) detailing the time and place of your pickup (EX: 12:00pm at the hotel lobby). We've used the DCL transfers a few times, and it's hassle free! You might not get to the port as early as you'd like, but you'll get there in time and they won't leave port without you if you're on a DCL transportation bus. Plus, they play movies and other entertainment during the drive.
