Approx what % off does AAA discount give you on US hotels

I realize the AAA discount can vary depending on the season (and is limited to a certain number of rooms), but does anyone know approximately how much off rack rate does the AAA rate gives you? 5%? 10%?

How do you get the discount on hotels? I didn't see AAA rate as one of the options when booking on the Loews/Universal Orlando web site.

I am making a reservation for about a year out, so hopefully they are not out of AAA rooms.

You can't get AAA online at the Loews site. You need to call them or book it through AAA.

It is off the nightly room rate.
