does anyone know the approximate cost for a cab from the Contemporary to Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo)?

It seems pretty far...

I'm not familiar with that rate but I can tell you that we've paid $20 from the Boardwalk to MK/Contemporary resort... otherwise, the resort concierge might be able to help.
