Hey everyone,

So since we changed our reception to Living Seas, I read that we need a Disney Photographer. Does anyone know exactly who these people are? I know Randy Chapman is one. If someone could give me a list of names so I can do my research that would be great.

Thanks!

Only Disney Fine Art Photography employees may take pictures inside the parks. No independent photographers qualify. That link Firefly09 posted will tell you the names of the DFP photographers and show you a couple samples of their work in case you want to request a specific person.

Oh, no! I thought outside photographers were allowed as long as you weren't doing a 'wedding' or a 'vow renewal'. We are having a 40th anniversary celebration (epcot) and although I didn't originally think I would have a photographer, I've been rethinking that since we will have 7 grandchildren present who have never been to WDW.

How come when I look on Carly's blog she posts spotlights on Living Seas Salon Weddings and there are such photographers as the Roots and Jason Angelini? I'm so confused! I really like the Roots! Would they be allowed to take pics during our reception at LSS?

There was a time when outside photographers were allowed in the parks, but they stopped that I think 2 years ago.

The policy just changed a few years ago, so there are still pictures floating around from that time. Outside photographers are not permitted at any in park location, and those that are familiar with Disney and their policies won't let you book them for an in park event since they would get in trouble.

Gah! That kinda sucks....ok it big time sucks!!! Anybody have any good experiences with DFTW Photographers that they would be willing to share? Any photographers in particular?

As long as you are going through conventions for your 40th anniversary celebration and not through DFTW. Conventions can use outside photography vendors in the parks. I worked in conventions at WDW for many years. There are still lots of conventions that bring their own photographers to events in the parks.

Sooooooo ironic, considering that when DFTW changed the rule, one of the excuses they gave was that it was bringing weddings into line with the policies for conventions...
