DH usually wears a muscle shirt when we tour the Disney parks since it is so hot in July. Our 2 sons will also wear tank tops (they are 3 and 5 years old) We have some TS lunches planned, and several TS dinners as well. Some are at theme parks, some at resorts. Can you please tell me if any of the following have a dress code that prohibits men from wearing a sleeveless shirt? If so, DH will just wear short sleeves, no problem!

Lunches:
1. Sci-Fi (DHS)
2. Akershus (Epcot)
3. San Angel Inn (Epcot)
4. 50s Prime Time (DHS)
5. Chefs de France (Epcot)

Dinners:
1. Chef Mickey's (Contemporary)
2. Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge)
3. Cinderella's Royal Table (MK)
4. Cape May Cafe (Beach Club)
5. Le Cellier (Epcot)
6. Sanaa (AK Lodge)
7. Captain's Grille (Yacht Club)
8. Kona Cafe (Polynesian)
9. Biergarten (Epcot)

We also have character breakfasts planned at 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian), Crystal Palace (MK) and Cape May Cafe (BC). Of those 3, the only one that is a theme park day is Crystal Palace so I'm sure DH will just wear a t-shirt to the other 2. Could he wear a sleeveless shirt to Crystal Palace breakfast? Just want to make sure everyone is dressed appropriately!

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

I believe Sanna has a dress code. For guy's it's plain tshirts, button down shirt or polo shirt with jeans (no ripped jeans) or Kahki shorts/pants. For women it's a nice shirt or blouse with a skirt, jeans or kahki pants/shorts/skirt or a nice Sunday dress.

Thanks so much!! Are nice sleeveless blouses all right for women? DH can always wear a polo with khaki shorts.

You could always tuck t-shirts in the back pack for the meals. The A/C at some of the restaurants is so cold even in the heat of the summer. Unless it is a signature restaurant I don't think anyone would care either way. The restauants know everyone is vacationing/touring so they don't expect them to be all dressed up.

None of the places you mentioned were signature restuarants in a resort, so you'll be fine. I know for sure that your DH wouldn't be allowed in at California Grill. No tank tops or muscle shirts for men. Pretty much everything else is fine.

We've dined at Sanaa a couple of times and were not aware of any dress code. I believe that you will only encounter a dress code at the signature restaurants.

Even then it's spotty - I've never seen it enforced.......

I saw it enforced at California Grill in December, because there was a man in a tank muscle shirt who was turned away. The suggested dress codes apply to signature restaurants only. If it happens to be in a theme park like the Brown Derby, theme park clothing is ok.

None of the restaurants you mentioned are Signature restaurants so there is no dress code at any of them. What you initially proposed to wear is fine.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Just use your best judgment. If it seems like the kind of place where you would expect to wear a certain kind of clothing, then you're probably right about the kind of clothing you will find there. You'll always get people who are both over-dressed and under-dressed (mostly under-dressed in those spectrum extremes, though) in most restaurants in WDW, but at least you will feel comfortable.
