I have read so much about what is recommended to wear for dinner, but what about breakfast and lunch in the restaurants? Would it be OK to wear a coverup over a bathing suit (somewhat like a sundress) for me and DD's? Can DH wear a t shirt and his bathing suit? I am trying to avoid having to keep going back to the cabin to change.

What do you guys think?

Breakfast and lunch are very casual. I think that you would be fine wearing what you described. We never felt as though we had to change clothes for these meals.

believe me, you'll be fine as you described. No bats an eye at bathing suits + t-shirts or cover-ups. This explains everyone coming back saying "I packed too much". I packed for "outfits" for every day. We wore our suits + t-shirts or shorts and repeated clothes (within reason) daily.

This cruise, my "on ship" attire will be minimal

I think what you've described is perfect for Topsiders -- not the restaurants. JMHO :)

I think Jane is right. I do not think they allow bathing suits at any time in the restaurants.

Shorts and tops are allowed for Breakfast and lunch in the restaurants.

I agree with TootyJane, for Topsiders a bathing suit with a coverup is OK, but IMHO it's no appropriate for the restaurants.

Bathing suit and coverups are okay at Topsiders, but I would recommend shorts and shirts for the restaurants.

I agree totally--the Topsider's buffet is "anything goes," so swimsuit with cover-up is fine. For the restaurants, shorts and top, skirt and top, sundress....just a notch up from the swimwear. It isn't allowed in the dining rooms.

Certainly, you can re-cycle outfits! No one will ever notice.
