Applying DD to Resort Bill

Ok, so here's my plan:

I'm going to have like $1000 or so in Disney Dollars when I arrive at Disney, and I'm going to be in a DVC room (rented points from a member).

I've never done that before, and i'm not sure if I've posted this in the right section even, but I think I'll get a normal hotel bill because I've seen people check out from there and have to pay what looks like a bill with maid charges and incentals.

Anyway, can I give them Disney Dollars when I check in to apply toward room charges (like park charges, as if I was in a normal room?) I assume so, I mean, DVC members should have the same room charging priviledges as normal guests, and Disney Dollars are cash on Disney property...

But my question is, what if I have money left over at the end of the trip? What if I don't spend $1000? With the DVC room, all the taxes and fees and the room itself are prepaid. How will they handle my refund?

Good 'nuff! ;)

I've never paid with "cash" before, always credit (less of a headache for me - there's always something wrong with my bill to dispute at the end of the trip) and I've seen people who have paid with checks say they had to wait a while to get their refunds, and other people pay with cash who said they had to put down a credit card anyway and their credit card was charged at the end of their trip and their cash was taken anyway (all straightened out of course, but still a hassle) so I honestly had no idea what Disney Dollars might translate to in their system.

I mean, I don't want to end up with a Disney Store gift certificate for $382.89 or something.
