Applying code to existing reservation & adding days

1st timer at resorts and staying at Pop in October. I am considering adding additional days to my current reservation in anticipation of discount code coming in August for my October Dates. Should I wait to add on the additional days or should I go ahead and add them to my Pkg and then apply the code when released.
Do they just apply the code or do they cancel and rebook the room at the new rate?

If your additional days are not contingent on the discount, then yes book them now.

If you have a room only reservation and later want a package (for the discount) you will have to cancel your room only and reserve a package.

There are different rules of payment for "room only" and "package" reservations.

If you book a room only reservation and a room only code comes out, you may add it. ( If there is availability for your room type )

The same goes for a package reservation.
