Appliances - Black Friday ??

Has anyone ever bought an appliance on a Black Friday sale? How exactly would that work since it's not something that you can "pick up and carry" to the register? Do you think you would need to head straight to the appliance department, or straight to the register to pay for it? I'm talking about a Lowe's/Home Depot place - not a department store.


Any advice, particularly from experience, would be greatly appreciated?

We are looking at getting a washer/dryer tomorrow.

Appliance department, absolutely. The cashier needs something from which to enter/ring/scan the transaction.

Sears has appliances priced at 25% off all day tomorrow and I don't think you need to be the first one there or anything, it is just IF you order tomorrow you get the discount.

We are looking at getting a 2nd fridge for our garage so we plan to stop by tomorrow.

We are going to Sears for the washer and dryer tomorow, plan to go to a cash register and buying it there, hope it works okay

I'm going about an hour after they open, I honestly don't think people are going to line up for a W&D, I wont be terribly sad if I don't get one
