Anyway, if you go to the details on the apple site, it looks like only college students qualify.

I just got an email form apple saying you got $100 in apps. I was hoping for the ipod touch promo again this year. My ds will be a college freshman in the fall and is looking to buy a mac.

The email I got said it was for educators as well.

Not the greatest promo IMHO.

We just ordered DH's ( he is an educator). Last year, the iPod promo was nice. But I did link through MyPoints, which gives points when you buy items from stores by linking through their site. Apple Store was 2 points per $1, so that will be about 2000 points.
You redeem the points for gift cards, but I think most start at 3000 points.

Just a thought for those of you thinking about a purchase!
