Applebees?

Hi everyone, have never tried Applebees but was thinking might try it in november, what are your views?

Am from the Uk ans tried Applebees this year. The food and pricing was OK, but the retaurant was dark. I would go again but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to.

Yeah, there are Applebees, Chilis, Ruby Tuesdays, and TGI Fridays all over the US, I think. If it tells you anything, I live in Taylors SC (I doubt many here have heard of it, which is my point), and I believe we have ALL of these chains within a 5 minute drive of our house.

As for the food, each is pretty indistinguishable from the rest. DH and I have stopped going to any of them for that reason, and because all of the food just has this odd synthetic taste to it.

I waitress at an independant steak house. I can't believe how many people choose to go to these lousy chain restaurants. with mediocre food, basically made up ahead of time and "nuked" WHEN YOU ORDER IT!
but, on vacation? there are so many other options.
I can buy a premade meal at the grocery store and heat it up myself.

There is also an Applebees on 27 in Davenport, so if the original poster is staying in that area of Davenport, Applebees is a good option since there are not too many choices right there on 27.
