Apple Watch

I got one. See my own post re whether to bring it to the World. I got the 42 with the black leather. Smart looking. I'm pretty good with Apple products but this one has thrown me a bit. Went to a class at Apple Store the other day it cleared up some of my mistakes. Little by little it grows on me more as I begin to see how it can contribute to my personal and professional life. If I had a magic wand I'd wish that the MDE app was on it.

I've had one since the first week. My usage has settled down to three different areas

- glance to see time and next thing on my calendar - that's my default view and it works great, though I haven't worn a watch in years and find myself still looking at my phone to tell the time once in a while

- I have Type I diabetes and use a continuous Glucose Monitor that syncs with the watch - so I can just turn my wrist to see my blood glucose number at any time - granted I also have a receiver in my pocket at all times - but when I'm in the car it's awesome to be able to see what my number is without having to dig it out of my pocket (see Dexcom Share if you are interested)

- finally, I really like the activity monitor - it's a very personal gamification of your exercise routine and I find that I am constantly looking to beat my numbers,

I don't really see any value in things that my phone can do better, like my To Do list or messaging, my phone is always on my desk at work so it's easy to just use that device - plus there is no keyboard so you have to speak into your watch using Siri - something I'm still not comfortable doing in public
