Check out the thread at the top of the
cooking crafting and scrapping board

there is a sticky thread with appetizers there :teeth:

Here's a really quick and easy one.

1 tub Kraft Herb & Garlic cream cheese
Salsa
Shredded cheddar cheese

Spread cream cheese in a shallow round 9" oven proof dish. Spread layer of salsa on top and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Heat in the oven til bubbly.

Serve with corn chips.

Bruschetta

1 can petite diced tomatoes
1 to 2 large cloves garlic, peeled
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon minced fresh basil
1 tablespoon minced fresh oregano
Italian bread – thinly sliced

Grill or toast the bread slices. Rub each side with the garlic and drizzle each one olive oil. Set aside.

Strain the tomatoes and put in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients. (I use a little bit of garlic in the tomato mixture besides using it on bread slices). Mix well.

Spread mixture on bread slices and serve immediately. (or I just put the bread in a basket, keep tomatoes in a bowl and let guests put how much of the tomatoes they want on their bread)

I had these at a party this weekend. They were sooo good, and I don't even like spinach! :) I can't wait to make them myself. I think that was all I ate all night and I ate almost all of them!

Parmesean Spinach balls.
INGREDIENTS:
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
2 cups Italian-style seasoned bread crumbs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup butter, melted
4 small green onion, finely chopped
4 eggs, lightly beaten
salt and pepper to taste

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix the frozen chopped spinach, Italian-style seasoned bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, butter, green onion, eggs, salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls.
Arrange the balls in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 10 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned.

This one is well liked in my family and is sooo easy.

Frozen Filo dough
2 Frozen Friday's Avocado Spinach dips
Fresh Parmesan (to grate)

Heat up spinach dips, add some fresh grated parm, place a dallop in the middle of the filo dough triangles, fold like a filled croissant and bake.

That's it.

Taco Puffs

I've made something similar with Cresent Rolls. Mix the beef with Lipton Onion Soup Mix and then add in Cheddar Cheese. Put spoon-fulls of the beef mixture into a cresent roll and close it up, then bake until the cresent roll is golden brown. MMmmmmmm.....

1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. hot sausage
1 lb. Velveeta, cut in cubes
1 package party rye breads

Brown ground beef and sausage, drain fat. Remove from stove and stir in Velveeta until completely melted. Spoon onto party rye breads and put under broiler until bubbling and slightly brown on top.

You can also freeze them once you've spooned the filling on top of the bread and then take them right from the freezer to the broiler (it takes a few more minutes under the broiler, obviously).

8 oz cream cheese, salsa (be careful not to make runny)
mix and spread on flour tortillia and roll up, wrap in saran wrap, refridgerate for several hours to soften the tortillias. Using an electric knife cut into medallions. You can add sliced black olives too :wave2:

Cocktail Wienies in BBQ sauce.
Dump the wienies and BBQ sauce in the crock pot and heat.

Put a block of Cream Cheese on a plate. Pour Pace Picante Sauce on top. Serve w/ Tortilla Chips. (Some people put Jalapeno Jelly on top of the Cream Cheese instead of the picante sauce)

Super easy and different but really good! Every time I've served this, it was a hit. Use a pretty dish & place some parsley around to make it more festive looking.

Take a block of softened cream cheese and put it on a plate and pour Pick-A-Pepa sauce over it. You can find it on the same aisle as A-1 and bbq sauce. It's dark, thick and has a good flavor. Provide an assortment of crackers to smooth some of this on and get ready to say mmmmmm!

mini pigs in a blanket...

wrap cocktail weenies in the cresent dough and bake them in the oven....

for some reason i love those!
