Do you think this would be possible? To have an appetizer instead of an entree next year with the DDP? Thanks, Vero.

I know it sounds conterproductive because of the cost factor and wanting to maximize your dining dollar, but I was actually wondering the same thing ... Maybe someone knows ...

I don't think it will be officially allowed but you may find a CM who will do it. The computer is usually set up only to allow certain things for ddp. Best you can do is ask really nicely :)

I was on the DDP last May. At Rose & Crown I wanted two appetizers instead of an appetizer and entree. I was told no. He said the cash registers were not set up to allow it. I decided to push my luck and asked again at Wolfgang Pucks. I was again told no and the same reason was given. I don't know if it might have changed though.

Seems like for that meal you should pay OOP and save your credits for a place where you want to order an entree. :thumbsup2

Many restaurants will accommodate a guest that requests an entree sized portion of an appetizer item. This is common at Italian restaurants, that offer pasta appetizers.

It won't hurt to ask but it sounds like the computer system may not be able to accommodate guests who ask.

I was at Coral Reef when a woman at the next table wanted 2 appetizers instead of an appetizer and an entree on the DDP. She was told "No", although she really tried. At the time I agreed with her, didn't make sense to me, but the cash register thing may be the reason. Computers totally lack understanding.
