What I am doing is browning up some sausage (the big roll kind), then to that you add a can of diced tomatoes and a brick of cream cheese. Mix together and serve with crackers. Very good, very simple and very cheap..
This is another version of rumaki without the liver.
Take bacon and cut the strips in half. Then wrap a 1/2 strip around a whole water chestnut and secure it with a toothpick. Arrange them in a jelly roll pan or something that will contain the drippings and place in a 350 degree oven for about 35-45 minutes. You will know when they are done by the great smell and browned edges.
In the meantime combine ketchup, bbq sauce and some brown sugar or honey in a saucepan and warm. Sorry don't have exact measurements just keep adding until it tastes right
Drain the rumaki and add to the sauce. Easy to reheat with a microwave.
