Appetizers as meals on the dining plan?

I know this may seem odd, but if you are on the dining plan, can you order an appetizer as your meal and it count correctly?

I've just noticed several places where I would prefer to have two appetizers instead of an appetizer and an entree. Do you think they would do this for me and it be marked off as a TS credit correctly?

I know its not taking the full advantage of the dining plan, but we would do the dining plan anyways, and I would prefer this at some places.

What do you think? Has anyone ever done this with the dining plan?
