I have an appt in the AM for this achy pain in my lower right side, almost the groin area. Not sure, but I think it could be another ovarian cyst. It is a little lower than that pain was last time i had that going on.

Does appendicitis start our as an achy pain, or does it start as a stabbing pain?

I'm self-diagnosing before I go to the Dr:rolleyes1

It manifests itself in many ways.... just wait to see what the doc says.

Either or none of the above. I've seen kids who started with what looks like a little stomach bug that turn out to actually have a bum appendix and others who were howling in pain and turned out to have a strep infection(go figure!) Your doctor will know what to look for. :thumbsup2 BEst of luck to ya.

Ouch! I hope you figure out what is wrong and soon! :)

It actually has subsided a bit. Hopefully that will continue and I will get some sleep before the Dr in that AM.
I don't seem to have any other appendicitis signs/symptoms so I am thinking positive.

Thanks!

This happened with my son. I took him to the pediatrician with a minor fever and some pain in his side. She sent me to the hospital suspecting appendicitis. After half a day there and numerous tests, blood work, and an ultrasound, it was determined that my son was filled with gas bubbles and that was what was causing the pain. Basically he had so many farts in him that he became clogged up. Knowing him, I'm not surprised in the least.

Don't feel bad, it happens all the time. I can't tell you how many parents rush their kids to the ER for "severe abdominal pain" that turns out to be about 10 days worth of poop in their colon.:goodvibes
