yea I saw in the other cruise group a lady from the Wonder posted that people are vomitting all over the place (a kid apparently in the adult only section)... and people apparently not honoring the quarantine....
I overheard a woman at nearby table say the doctor wanted her DD on 24 hr quarantine, but she brought her to MDR. I hope she was truly just seasick, as the woman said.
The crew are all amazing despite passengers getting in the way.
And then there is women who put their purses on the bathroom floor.... then where do they place the purse while seating in the main dining room....The number of men that didn't wash their hands after using the toilet
Well, I hang my purse on the hook in the stall. And I just couldn't use a phone while on the toilet. And then there is women who put their purses on the bathroom floor.... then where do they place the purse while seating in the main dining room....
How many of use their phones while on the public throne? How many then clean their phones properly after using the throne?
This was my biggest fear before our April Fantasy cruise. Luckily, all was good. But my sister, BIL and nephew are on the Wonder now! If it were me, I would think about getting off at Key West, and not getting back on. Can you even do that?
I didn't know how to word this response.... but let's just say.... it's not fit to print. How bad even is this virus. Don't no a lot about it
Is it not just felling a bit sick for a day or so
Just what I like to hear as I can't fall asleep because my flight leaves in less than 8 hours.
Two things that amazed me on my last cruise:
The number of men that didn't wash their hands after using the toilet
People refusing to take the wipes on the way into the restaurants. Even when the CM insisted, they argued for about 10 secs, the passenger took one and immediately threw it in the bin. Disgusting. I don't care if they get sick, but there's the likelihood of them making others sick that pi**es me off!
Then at least be nice about it and carry your own special wipes and wipe down in front of them. I'd question people being nasty about it too when there is absolutely zero reason to be.
I'm thinking it's the first time it has happened like this on DCL.
We were on the cruise directly before this one, and we've heard a few reports of people not feeling well the last day or going home, and there were quite a few incidents with the Mickey Pool involving something coming from one end of a child or the other. It would not surprise me in the least if this was the case, as between kids not being honest, and parents not believing that the kids are actually sick and not faking, it's got to be a super easy thing to spread in that age group. Was there any truth to the rumors that it had been more concentrated in kids that had been in one of the clubs?
I'm going to have an altruistic view on this and say, little Bart didn't tell his mom he had a tummy ache because he was so excited to go the club. And the next day little Suzzie and little Tommy experienced the same excitement over a new day's events.
But the lady that took her sick kid out for "air" in the adult area.....
Guilty of the 'my daughter is faking' thoughts. Sometimes they occur too frequently on school days or church days.We were on the cruise directly before this one, and we've heard a few reports of people not feeling well the last day or going home, and there were quite a few incidents with the Mickey Pool involving something coming from one end of a child or the other. Absolutely! We brought our own large cups and always used their cups to fill ours, every single time. I suppose we're so used to places like McDonald's that let you refill the same cup, but it's even worse when it's one you brought from home, and have no way of properly cleaning between uses.Just got off the Dream Friday...another thing I would like to say is that people should NOT use their own used cup/water bottle to refill at the drink stations. Get a clean cup!! We saw this occur many times each day and no CM ever said anything to them. This is an easy way to spread infection! The Dream cruises usually have first-time cruisers on them (testing cruising out with short itineraries) so they may not realize.
It's hard to tell with young ones if they're truly sick or just saying they feel sick. Sometimes they don't even know themselves I think, they're just unhappy and wanting out of a situation. And as adults, I think we often have our rose colored glasses on - I'm not really sick, this will pass, I can't be sick and miss this, etc. It's bad enough being sick, but being sick on vacation is just a whole different level, and I think it's human nature to want to deny that and try and enjoy something we have paid so much money for.Guilty of the 'my daughter is faking' thoughts. But I myself said "I was fine" the first time I went on a sailboat at age 42. I was euphoric in mind, but EVERYONE kept asking me if I was okay. People said I looked green, I felt ok-ish, now how's that possible? But they were right I was feeling a little weird, then a few waves later that little ickyness I felt made me want to sit down, then they decided we should head back for me. They didn't want me to throw up on their boat. That's when I decided to call our Dr about the patch for our first cruise later that year.
