I'm feeling very dumb after reading this board for the last few weeks. I just can't quite figure out how to put together an autograph book for my little guys first trip.

I was thinking of using my free 8 x 8 shutterfly book, but I'm not sure that is the best way or if they will even do it.

If anyone can give me simple (and non expensive) instructions on how to put together a book it would be most appreciated. Otherwise I may end up just buying one at Disney!

I started assembling one and gave up. I got the princess storybook looking book for DD who was in love with it.

The only suggestion I could give would be to print out sheets for characters to auto and then have them bound by like Staples or something similar.

While the idea of a shutterfly book is great I feel like the binding wound break easily... It was handy that the book could fold up like in half for characters to hold and sign

Hi Welcome to the DIS DISign forum

I think this depends on how many characters you are going to try and see.
example--when I first took my grandaughter to disney I decided on NO waiting around for autographs...yes I know bad Nana

I booked Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast--got Mickey,Pluto, Lilo and Stitch's autograph.

I did the same thing for Crystal Palace Breakfast with Pooh and friends. We got Pooh,Eeyore,Piglet,Tigger's autograph.

Our last character meal was Donald's Breakfast Safari, We got Minnie,Mickey,Donald , Daisy and Goofy's autograph.

The booklets I made were specific to the character meal.
I designed one page for each character.--and a cover page.
I had them printed at Kinkos and they put a spiral binding on it for me.
I attached some black and white ribbon I found at the dollar store to the spiral binding.

Yes it can be costly to make your own autograph books but it can also be a nice memory souvenir.

Feel free to ask any questions you have.
Hugs Mel

Little "Golden Story Books" found online or at garage sales are also good for autographs.
Pillow cases although you must have them attached to a hard surface like a clip board and use wax paper between layers so the ink does not bleed through.

Thank you both!! Bellsfam - you made me feel a lot better in that you gave up on it! I think simple may be best and he probably won't care what they sign. I like the idea of that Disney book Mel.

Mel - I clicked on your links. The coupons are great and may be good motivation for the little guy (and maybe even the teens!) to be pleasant and cooperative. Are you still on break? I will post in your thread later. Have to head out.

Thanks very much for helping!

Here is one for the "creative mom" in me
attach to some sunglasses or bottle of bubbles or a small Disney character
