Hi Folks

Just a bit confused. If on above rotation, Animators would be on the first night (Saturday), would this be the night for the presentation or would the presentation be on Tuesday?

With APLAPLA, it will be on Saturday.

If you have PLAPLAP, it will be on Monday.

If you have LAPLAPL, it will be on Wednesday.

On our June, 2001 cruise, we had ALPALPA rotation and the presentation was on Tuesday. The waiter told us right when we got there Saturday night that the presentation would not occur on the first night of the cruise. Can't say if that is policy for all cruises though.

Hi
Thank you now it is as clear as mud? Anyone just recently off the "Magic"
Dave that is what I got earlier, but read a post that mentioned first night? I am not so sure now?????

We just got off the Magic on 2/9 and had the ALPALPA rotation. The Animators presentation was on the first night (Saturday).

Out of the 3 restaurants, which is suppose to be the "better" ones. I've heard Lumiere's, then Animators then Parrot Cay. How does everyone else feel. Good to have opinions as to plan Palo's.

Although we all know its only an opinion and they may all be different.

Another recent cruiser with APLAPLA rotation that had the "show" on the first night. On our first 7-day cruise, we had the LAPLAPL, but we really liked the APLAPLA rotation a lot better since the formal nights both fell on nights when we were in Lumiere's. A much better arrangement than our first cruise.

I thought the first formal night was on Sunday? So how would you end up in Lumiere for both formals in APLAPLA rotation?

Curses - I posted without checking the Navigators. You are correct. The first formal night was on Sunday, so we were "formal" for Parrot Cay night. In my mind, the APLAPLA rotation just seemed to work better. On our first cruise, we ended up in Lumiere's on Tropicalifragilistic night. I had mixed signals about "dress code", so I ended up wearing suit and tie to Lumiere's and found out that practically everyone else was dressed casually. Our servers (on the first cruise) also made some comment about the way that we were dressed on our departure day visit to Lumiere's. I believe the exact quote from our server was "Oh, I guess your luggage must not have arrived at your stateroom yet."

I guess that I prefer a rotation that only puts me in Lumiere's on two nights. And even better if you end up in Lumiere's on one of the shipwide formal nights.

I should have taken better notes. :)

Remember - all of these discussions on the dining schedules are based on the eastern Caribbean cruise. If you're taking a western Caribbean cruise, you'll have to wait and hear from those lucky people taking the maiden voyage in May.

Trip reports will be expected within 24 hours of returning home, OKAY?????

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't trying to put you on the spot, I'm actually planning to do a eastern trip in the next 12 months. I understand that I cannot request certain rotation, but wanted to have "back-up" plans for each dining assignments.
