That's interesting....our last week of June AAA rate is 191. that's not much different than the AP rate....and AP rate isn't qualifying stay...... hhhmmmmm :scratchin

Agree with you BM as difference would not make me change, when i called last week APH was $215 so has started to come down a bit.

That is interesting.....our end of Aug AAA rate is $167.20 ($188). I always thought the AP rate was the best you could get!

no....ap is not always the best, but it was interesting it was only a few dollars difference. I'd pay the couple extra bucks for the AAA "qualifying" rate

i have found that in september and october the rooms for the ap discounts will come out lower for various times if there are rooms not booked.

one year, the ap rate dropped around sept 15 for dates of late september and parts of october. that was done to fill up the rooms.

2 or 3 out from your ressie, keep going back and check your room rate so you can modify it. if the rates drop, and you don't modify, you do not automatically get the lower ap rate discount.

I don't understand...What do you mean by "qualifying rate"? :confused3

A qualifying rate is a term loews first uses. It means a rate that will allow you to get your loews first perks. Annual Pass rates dont do that but AAA do. To become a loews first member visit www.loewshotels.com and sign up, its free.

Oh...I signed up for Lowe's quite a while ago..but, haven't used it yet...Probably the first time I use it at Hard Rock or Pacific...because it will be my first time..I'll just get the paper, and the snacks I picked....It's after you use it quite a bit that you get the other perks, right? ;)

Actually you would get the paper, your welcome gift, a free upgrade on your room at check-in if available, late check-out if available, free access to the fitness center, AA points. *If you book a qualifying rate. As you use the program and progress to gold and then platinum your perks do increase.:thumbsup2
