Ap8 Extended

Yay how exciting!!! Too bad I wont be there until April lol

What are the AP8 rates for the various DLR hotels?

Can the info be posted here, or is that a no-no?

I don't see why they can't be posted. Feb 13/14 is blocked out. The hotel availability has not been updated yet, but what is listed up to Feb 12 is
as follows for std view: GCH - 249, DLH - 149, PPH - 139.

yes date is extended but if you look at the hotel calendar the rates are super high from right after Feb 7.

Actually, the higher rates start at the same place as they did on Feb. 13 which corresponded with the original ending point of Feb. 12. I bet they just haven't updated the availability calendar yet, considering how outdated the site has been lately.

I JUST hung up with them when this was posted. It must have JUST happend as I was told it probably wont. I ran grabbed the phone and on hold for 14 mins now.

259 GCH STAN, DLH STAN 159, view 179, con lvl 289 higher on weekends. I'm being told they arent showing that and Im not sure they will let me book it. I'm on hold again to see if they will honor it or not. I am in debate whether to do split at dlh and gch. Anyone know if it's worth doing con lvl for 2 people or is it best just to order treats?

Lost, did you call the specific number on the AP pages? When I made my reservation for December, instead of giving me rates, he asked me what I was seeing, LOL, then looked for that.

The special offers page says: "(866) 411-3890† and ask for rate plan "AP8.""

But then the hotel availability calendar says to call "(714) 520-5006† from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST daily to reserve your room."

When I called I called the 714 number (with a cell it's all the same).

super-mom, the problem with posting them is that sets them in stone, and they tend to change. Often. An hour after I booked for the December trip the prices were all higher, and they continued going up for a few days, then plummeted back down.

I'm sure you are aware of that, but just in case there are new lurkers out there, the prices do go up and down.

I was contemplating split stay DLH, and GRAND, but when I added what the cost should be it came up about 400 more when they told me the total at DLH ONLY. Thats with resort fees and taxes. I am still on hold over 3-4 hours on the phone with disney all day today dear god. Im trying to get a view room total.

Personally I would order treats and forego concierge.

That's what I am gonna do. DH does not drink alcohol unless he bogarts mine, and honestly we wont be in the room enough to use every thing the lounge does. I checked out the breakfast 2 times with DD, but we are doing Char b-fasts so no need to have continental, the wine I had 1 glass during the OCT trip as we were usually getting ready to go to dinner, we usually hit the desert time an hour-30 mins before closing. Also its not the same seeing the fireworks from the lounge. I'm still torn whether i should have split stayed at the grand only thing is repacking and changing hotels might be a pain.

DANG IT!!! The 2 nights we're not getting the AP rate (13 & 14), haven't changed at all but every other day has. Probably Valentines Day, huh?

$320/night. Wow.

Some listings were crazy as far as GCH CL almost 700 a night before ap rate 400-500 ap CL. I even saw PP at AP rate 308 conc lvl I believe a night, and DLH was 289 for con lvl but during weekend its higher 308 I think I did find out it will cost more if you want an upper resort view than what the calendar says. I still wonder about doing the grand I just wonder is it worth packing to switch and check in there for our last 3 days. The rates are confusing and took almost 2 hours to get it taken care of my phone bill will be hurting later as I call again tomorrow lol.

If any of you are interested, I just booked the Grand from Hotels.com at $227.51 a night for Jan. I think this special runs until the Presidents day. Go check it out. Travelocity had the same rate, but the fees were higher.

So go figure....................better prices from them than my AP discount, not to mention that the offer was good on a "view room."

When I checked out PP and the DL hotel, the prices were higher than the AP discount. :confused3

My DH said, you had better snag those rooms before they are gone!! :cool1:

Another bit of tidbit I just found out is, that if you are a senior citizen or if someone in your party is, DLR gives you 30% off of your rooms. So in May over Mother's Day my Mom, sisters and I are going to the Grand again with great rates. I got the information from AAA. Maybe you have to go through them to get this rate, and when I talk to my AAA travel agent again, I'm going to ask her what DL considers a senior citizen. So many places have different age criterias. Probably 80+..............which my Mom is, but that would leave a few other folks out for sure. :rotfl: If anyone is interested I will find out today and post back on that. :thumbsup2

The senior citizen rate is for ages 60 and above and any travel agent can book it, it's not just with AAA thankfully. :) :thumbsup2

Can we use FIL's AP for AP rates? He's not going so I'm assuming not, but just wanted to check. :-)

No, not if he's not with you as you must show it at check in. Those Grand rates arent bad. When I checked Expedia, Orbitz, hotels.com, and travelocity to just see what they had the prices were higher start of march than disneys were.
