AP7 is out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone check for me for November 17, checking out November 22? (3 adults)

My preference is DLH but for kicks, I'd love to see if GCH is available and the cost.

Please and Thank you!!

The calendar only shows dates out through October. :goodvibes

You can actually phone reservations and ask. You don't have to have an AP to even book, just have to have it at check-in.

As for the courtesy holds - they will do a 24-hour hold right now only, not the usual 7 days. That's what I did because I had to double check that I would not have to pay some huge fees to cancel my other booking and switch to the WAY better rate. The deposit is one night plus tax - so not so bad :thumbsup2

yep and after them all telling me that they had booked all the AP rates out for the dates I was going except for concierge rooms, I called back and low and behold my dates are now available...what the heck is up with that??? well no matter I booked it anyways:yay:  Im psyched...staying at DLH for $159 a night...

Possibly some of the PIN # courtesy holds are expiring. We booked our PIN # room last week and got a 7-day courtesy hold on a ressie for my best friend, which expired today at 8 pm. She called and booked it today :cool1: But, there could be others that weren't booked and got released for the AP rate.

Yes - and they are requiring it immediately upon booking. No courtesy holds.

I called this afternoon and spoke with a CM named Paula. She was very helpful and after giving her all of our information she allowed me to have a one week courtesy hold on the AP7 rate. She even asked if that would be long enough to hold it for me. :)

well in this instance Im glad they are requiring first nights deposit because that just made my day:yay:

I guess this goes to show that different CM's allow different things. Several others have posted about having to put down a one night's deposit immediately, and that's what was required by me when I booked. The CM told me they weren't allowing holds with these AP rates.

This is so exciting! Just curious, because I'm new to the AP thing, we're going in a couple weeks and we booked a package with my friend's AP discount. Can he call them and have the room portion discounted even more with this AP7 rate?

You know you are going to have to buy your own AP (or your friend) if you want to get the discount. Without they AP they will charge you full rack rate!

OMG - Thanks to all of YOU on the DISboard :worship:, I just called about our trip that is scheduled from July 30 (that's only three days away ) to Aug. 6 at the Disneyland Hotel. I had decided to splurge and booked two rooms (hopefully connecting, but they won't guarantee that), one for me and DH, and one for DD15 and her friend. But the total price has been bothering me :sad1: ever since I made the ressies a couple of months ago. Then in this thread, someone pointed out that the AP7 code is effective IMMEDIATELY! I figured it was worth a try, and would you believe that I just got a room rate of $179/night for each room!! We had to give up our preferred view (that wasn't available at a discounted rate), but for a reduction in price PER NIGHT, PER ROOM of $189  (that's about half my original cost), I quickly decided we could do without the view!

My DH has been told he can NEVER AGAIN give me a bad time about my time on the DISboards :surfweb: !

The ONLY downside is that now we will have to enter DL and get our annual passes at the Bank before we can check in, and since we are not arriving until 6 PM that will be a bit of a pain. I have already bought 5-day PH passes online, and we were going to wait to convert those to APs on Sunday, so we could get into the parks on Saturday, which is a blockout day. But now at least one of us will have to convert to AP right away, since I understand you have to have your AP in hand to check in. That will probably be me, and then I'll pay the $40 for the Saturday blockout ticket, which is a small price to pay for all the savings we'll get. We'll just leave our luggage with bell services, go into the park, and then go back. Wow - now I won't have to be a hawk about the budget for all the other things (my DD15 will appreciate that).

The person who helped us on the phone (can't remember her name, but I did do the survey at the end to tell Disney how helpful she'd been) was great, and double-checked before changing my ressie. She said there are six or seven different discount codes out there right now, and she and the other phone workers were all putting in over 40-hour weeks because the phones were so busy.

So - check it out even if you have a trip coming up SOON! I never guessed they'd have a good discount code this early in the summer.

Ya, he already has one and we booked the package at the normal 10% off or whatever. What I'm asking is if it is possible to get this better AP7 rate for the package that we've already purchased at the 10% off rate.

Monica, you don't have to buy your AP's in DL. You can purchase them at the DLH when you check-in. They will sell them to you right there.

EDITED: Oops, guess I should read more carefully. You need to upgrade, huh? Well, they will do that for you at guest services outside the parks (just to the left of the turnstiles), and possibly even at the DLH front desk. Would be worth a call to ask . . .

DangerMouse - Now I'm wishing I hadn't already bought the 5-day PHs online. But we'll ask at the DLH front desk before we go to Guest Services, or the Bank. Thanks!

Thanks so much for this thread. Changed upcoming 6 night DLH Aug stay from 270 per night to $179. Even with the extra expense of an annual pass instead of a 4 day hopper, we are still saving over $500!!!
