AP7 is out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sy-- how old are your kids? The only thing in there that to me might be worth is is the ToonTown thing, IF you have little ones 6 or under. Otherwise it's not worth it. We went and it was cute, but crowded and kind of lame. Preferred seating in DCA is worthless except for Aladdin, which will be down during your trip. I don't know about the parade viewing, if they can really get you in somewhere good without staking out a patch of sidewalk for an hour, that would be nice. Lanyards, backpacks=stuff. Coin=stuffed in a junk drawer at our house.

That said, are you SURE you wouldn't come back within a year? If you have the opportunity, it's a great getaway for a day or two. (I've been trying to convince DH to get APs for the two of us, since he takes business trips to Long Beach a few times a year. More's the pity, his department at Boeing is not going to be doing much there any more, so no more trips :sad1: )

My kids are 2 and 4 so they may enjoy the MTMM. If anything, maybe we can get in TT early and ride Roger Rabbit before the masses. Not holding my breath tho. I'm quite sure I won't be back for a year. Being from Hawaii airfare prices are rediculous so we have to plan carefully. Our next trip will take us to WDW for at least 2 weeks. But that won't be till Dec 2009!

I'm kinda bummed too. I already booked our flight not thinking the weekends in December would be blocked...I guess I was focusing on going during our anniversary. I think I am more bummed about not having early entry than anything.

I did that same thing! We are using FF miles for our December trip, so I wanted to book early to guarantee availability. Never thought about weekend blackout dates.

However, we don't fly back to KC till Monday, and I was able to get at least Sunday night at the GCH with the AP7. So we will likely stay on Harbor the first two nights then move to GCH the last night. At least we will end the trip on a high note!

Since this is my birthday trip, I'm going to try to convice DH to spend the crazy money to stay at GC the entire trip!! Wish me luck!

Don't think of the AP7 rates for December as blacked out.... Think of em as really expensive! You'll still get your moneys worth!!! :thumbsup2

You do realize that Roger Rabbit's FP is off network, so you can grab a FP for it anytime? And with the FP you literally walk right on that ride (not that I actually do this because I hate that ride and most of TT for that matter). :rotfl:

Thank you all for posting. I was able to get PPH for Oct. 22-25. I also have an existing reservation at PPH for next week and was able to get AP7 rates.

Thanks for posting I just booked our October rooms. :cool1:

Heads up you really have to work with your dates.

Our ideal dates Wednesday October1-Sunday October 5.

So I call with my dates, no PP rooms, only concierge. Then I moved to the last week in September, yes availability. Oh, oops forgot about Friday October 3 is the Halloween Treat. So we started with Tuesday September 30, yes they had that. By coming in on Tuesday for 5 nights instead of Wednesday for 4 nights, did you catch that. I can always cancel that Tuesday night with no fees. :thumbsup2

Also, Roger Rabbit does not usually have terrible lines in October - at least midweek. I don't think we have ever waited more than 15 mins (if that).

Called at 7am this morning and was able to book a birthday trip 12/7-12/12 at the GCH Theme Park View--this is a special present to myself. And we aren't telling the kids, so it will be a big christmas surprise!

The CM that helped told me I was his second call for the day and the first call had requested the exact same dates, hotel and view! I was so scared he was going to tell me that he had gotten the last room and there were none left, but I was able to book. :cool1:

Can't wait!

Lawyergirl- I wonder if you talked to Ricardo. I had called at 7am and booked GCH 12/7 thru 12/12 theme park view. Ricardo was the CM who helped me.

Even the PPH concierge deal this year is NOT good. The rooms are $159-$189, but the concierge with the AP7 rate jumps to $340/night!

fwiw, last fall i booked the $129 PP room (for 2 nights).....then a couple of weeks before the trip it was discussed (here on the dis) that Concierge rooms were opening up.

I called back & instead of the $150 bump for concierge it was only $40 (i think) & made the change right then.

imo...Book the cheap room & don't give up hope on the concierge yet. :thumbsup2

I can't remember. Do we have to provide a deposit this year?

I'm still trying to decide the dates on my late Sept. trip.

Thanks!

Yes - and they are requiring it immediately upon booking. No courtesy holds.

I did talk to Ricardo!!!!!!!!!! That's sooooo funny. :rotfl2: Man the internet makes this a really small world! Hope you have a great time and perhaps we'll see you on your theme park view balcony!

I did the same only two days before I got there. Just booked this morning for my October trip and am hoping we can move up to concierge this year as well.

yep and after them all telling me that they had booked all the AP rates out for the dates I was going except for concierge rooms, I called back and low and behold my dates are now available...what the heck is up with that??? well no matter I booked it anyways:yay:  Im psyched...staying at DLH for $159 a night...

Thanks for posting this! We were booked for 4 nights at PP Conceirge for $342 in August. I called back and got DL std for $179 and we decided to stay and extra 2 nights!! So, after taxes and resort fees, I'm saving $300 bucks and we get two extra nights!

Can someone check for me for November 17, checking out November 22? (3 adults)

My preference is DLH but for kicks, I'd love to see if GCH is available and the cost.

Please and Thank you!!
