What is the cheapest way to obtain AP's? My family and I are looking into purchasing them for our upcoming vacation in Feburary. ANy information that you can pass along would be greatly appreciated!

There are a couple of online options that are probably the best bet. You can order them off of Costco.com for the regular price but you get a $50 gift card good almost anywhere in the resort with *each* card. Or, you can order them on the Disneyland.com website (forget the link, but you can find it if you search) which gives you an instant $30 off on each one.

Well, I know that the $30 off from the Disneyland website ended yesterday. And unfortunately, I do not see the deal on Costco today either. Other than those two, I wouldn't know where else you could get a deal on an AP.

The AP's are being sold at Costco stores and they don't always offer everything they sell online. Here's a link from mousesavers under current discounts and promotions that has all the details. The $50 gift card they are giving with the pass can be applied to upgrading the pass, if desired.
hth!

They were being sold at costco dot com, but have now disappeared, how annoying!

But if you could make it to a so cal costco to look around for the APs it might be worth your while.

Other than that, since the disneyland.com special is over, there aren't any deals on APs. BUT if you dont' want to look around a Costco in so cal, order them online to be printed at home (the voucher is printed). Then just take that voucher up to the gate, they'll print you a ticket-sized voucher, you go on in and at some point that day you can go to the AP center across from City Hall in DL and get your real APs.

we are NOT so cal residents and are looking to get the premium AP's for 5 adults and two children....we were going to just get 8 day park hoppers but looks like it may be worth it to just upgrade and get to go back a few more times throughout the year.

IF you can get the costco deal, you can use the $50 giftcard that comes with each to help upgrade from Deluxe to Premium.

But other than that, right now there are no deals. So you can just buy them at the parks, buy them at disneyland.com, or buy tickets and upgrade them! YOu won't "save" any discount you get on the tickets, though...except for the now-expired online deal and the Costco deal (which isn't a discount but the giftcards can help upgrade or pay for other stuff so it's a "trip" discount even if not an AP discount) I haven't seen deals on APs, you generally always pay the full cost.

Oh, sorry! I didn't realize the $30 off deal had expired and I also didn't know Costco.com had taken theirs off the website. Odd, since they only recently put it up there.

With that many people, I would think it would be worth a trip to Costco on your way to the park in Feb. With 7 people you'd get $350 worth of gift cards; the other possibility is to buy 6 Costco vouchers and use the gift cards to purchase the 7th with $31 left over on one of the cards. I'd have a hard time paying $269 for 7 aps when I could get them at Costco and have $350 to spend.

Not sure if you're interested in getting premium aps--it isn't worth it for me, but it depends on how often you go and when. If you tend to go during block-out days, then it would be a good idea. I have the flexibility to go at other times.

It is for disneyland. That is what we did. Stopped at a socal costco and got our ap's and then used the gc's for our food in the parks! :) It worked out great! :)

Just curious, do they take your photo at Costco?

Thanks,

Jack

Nope--all you get from Costco is a little paper voucher that you take to DL. You go to the ticket booth to exchange it and they give you the gift card at that time. From there, you go into the park and get your pic taken inside at the bank, where they print up your ap. The gift card is good for almost anything at the resort, including the hotels, food, merchandise, upgrading tickets, etc.
