This was on another DIS board.....

They just mentioned on the news that Disney is adding 100 extra days for free to anyone who purchases an annual pass between this coming Friday and December. I'm not sure if that really is for everyone or just for FL residents...but I just wanted to pass this along!

Any confirmations on this?

Here is the official word from the press release:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (Oct. 1, 2001)

"To mark the 100 Years of Magic celebration, Disney World announced plans Monday for a special Florida resident annual pass – with 100 bonus days for free. To go on sale later in October, the pass will cost $289 for adults and $246 for kids aged 3-9."

You can get your AP Lanyard at the Flaming tree resturant in Animal Kingdom or at Guest relations at EPCOT

Flame Tree is closed, you need to get them at Customer Relations, now...before the deadline later this month.

any idea why they are going to discontue AP lanyards?

They are not discontinuing anything...they are offering special 100 Years of Magic lanyards to AP passport holders from September 27-October 21, you just have to come and pick them up. This is a promotional thing to get you to the parks, like the renewal AK lanyards (still available) are.
