AP rate question:

My step mom would like to join us on our trip, but if she is there for a different number of days, she would have to have a different reservation than ours (that's what CRO told me this morning).

If I am the owner of the AP, will I be able to apply the rate to her room?

I'm not sure since her room won't be linked with mine anymore.

Are you arriving before she does? I know you can reserve up to three rooms with one AP. You the AP holder can not physically stay in more then one room. How many people will be with your step-mom? If it is just herself then you could be listed on her reservation because you have to checkin because of the AP rate.

Example...
Your staying Mon-Sat you check in on Mon with your family at the AP rate...no problem the room is yours.
On Wed you check in on the second reservation with your step-mom to show the AP and get the rate and she is all set.

I was in WDW this past Oct and had two rooms at the AP rate and I was not listed as staying in both rooms but both rooms were on one reservation. The room rate includes up to 4 people per room. So I don't see why you can't do it. The AP policy is one person has the AP per group, not one per room. I have read where people have done AP rates at two different resorts on one AP. The AP holder had to be at checkin both times but was not staying at both.

You might want to watch for room only codes for your travel time then that would be almost the same rate.

I hope others offer their advice too.
