All this talk about when AP rates are coming out got me thinking. We are going in May, staying at the Beach Club and I was hoping for a discount code. Is there usually much of a difference btw the AP rates and the codes for that time of year? I was going to buy the 6 day PHP which acc. to Mousesavers, the AP is only $76 more.
Thanks for any advice!

I got an AP rate at BWI last month (Dec 6). The AP rate was $169 plus tax, the code rate was $179 plus tax. I already had an AP, so I took the AP rate.

It depends. I booked with an AP last October for the Poly. I believe it was $216. The codes came out a week later and were better then the AP rate! So I rebooked it at a rate of $204.

Last year I initially booked an AP rate at a savings of about 30% off the rack rates.

Several weeks later, some codes came out that were even better, by about $12 a night, so I switched. You never know which will turn out to be better for you.

If it is value season, the codes might be better. If it is peak or regular, the AP rate might prove to be the better deal.:):):)
