AP vouchers question..

I know that you can "probably" use an AP voucher at check-in for the resorts, making sure that you activate it that day. What about theme park parking? If I have a voucher that I am going to activate at the MK, for example, will they let me park free with the voucher?..It's sort of a "Catch 22"..

I've read on here that you will probably have to pay but that you can ask to be refunded after you activate it. I am not sure where you get the refund though. Maybe guest services?

That sounds messy..anyone have an ideas? I guess I will have to make a stop at DD to have it activated first. They sure don't make it easy to get an AP, do they?? I can't understand why they don't sell them at the resorts-or everywhere for that matter. I guess it's because of the scanner they use...?

If you check into your resort with the voucher and it's allowed, then they will give you a parking pass for free parking. If not and you activate first, then guest services will offer you a refund. They always ask me when I pick up my pass if I had to pay to park.

If you are staying on Disney property- which I am assuming you are since you mentioned the resort discount, your parking is free anyways, you really would not have to worry about this.

My original thought when I started this thread was that I would e pick up my voucher at the Disney Store at the Earport and drive directly to Magic Kingdom to enjoy the park for a few hours, then go check in. I think I will just check into the resort first and take the bus to MK. Thanks for all the info, it's good to know that they don't soak you for parking before you can even activate the AP!

It is my understanding (though I haven't done it) that the MCO Airport Disney store issues actual APs, fully activated, and not vouchers.

Your understanding is correct. You get an activated AP, not a voucher, at the Earport shop.
