We just re-ordered our AP's even though we aren't going back to WDW until March 2010. I thought that they didn't expire until you usd them, but my wife said that they have an expiration date. So what's the truth? Is there a limited amount of time to turn the vouchers in to get the AP's?

Thanks!

None of our vouchers have a expiration date and we have some from a couple of years ago!

If you find a date on yours, please update your post.

I see you re ordered, did you mean renewal? Did you pay the renewal rate? Those would begin on your original ann. date. Please let us know.

I did mean renewal, sorry about that. So the renewal starts on th date our first AP's were activated?

If you renew an AP, your new pass picks up where the previous one left off. In other words, it will expire one year from the date your previous one expired.

If you purchase a new AP rather than a renewal, your year begins when your new AP is generated. So if you purchase a voucher for a new AP, your year begins the day you exchange the voucher for an AP. A voucher for a new AP never expires so if you purchase one today, you could wait a few years to exchange it for an AP and it would still be valid.

We got our vouchers for renewing our APs last Sept. Usually we take a trip in the fall but that didn't happpen last year. We went in May and when we gave the CM our vouchers I mentioned that we had them since last Sept but hadn't been able to get back to the world until May. She suggested that we upgrade to a new AP and that would give us a new May expiration date. I think it was around $90 or so (with DVC discount) for the 2 adult passes. So we will get 2 more trips instead of just the 1 and having to renew again in Sept.

It used to be that you could renew and your AP would not start until you re-activated. That policy changed a few years ago unfortunately and renewals start immediately upon your current pass expiring.

At least it sounds like they will let you take that renewal voucher and apply it towards a new AP.
