AP Voucher question

Hello!

I'm new to this whole AP thingy since we typically just wait for a room discount, but no such luck this time--had to go with an AP rate. So, how will this work when I go to check in at AKL? I'll have my voucher which needs to be activated, right? Will the nice folks just check me in and then send me on my way to get it activated? Or will I have to make a detour from the airport to Downtown Disney and activate it before I try to check in?

Last May when I checked into AKL with an AP rate, no one asked to see my AP. I think I've read that you can show a voucher instead of the activated pass. Maybe someone else will know for sure...
