AP voucher question

I am heading to WDW next week and I have ordered an annual pass voucher to activated when I get there. How will I receive my discount at shops and restaurants since I do not have my AP discount card yet?

And, the card you will get IS your AP.
You will use it for park entry and for discounts.

If you have a MagicBand as part of this trip or a previous trip, you can also use the AP via the MB
for park entry. You would then use/show the AP card for discounts.

You will not get the MagicBand that is actually "for" your AP until sometime
after you return home following the trip during which you activated your AP.
(You will also get an "AP Discount Card" when your AP MB is shipped to you.)
