AP voucher in under 30 days?

Has anyone had trouble getting an annual pass voucher mailed to them when your departure was less than 30 days?

We're leaving on 8/2, so at this point, should I just wait and buy the AP in WDW? Are there any benefits to buying the voucher early vs. buying at the parks?

We got ours in about seven days That includes a weekend

Just got ours in 12 days....they were telling me 14-17 but beat it.

On the other hand, I'm very conservative about this type of thing so I'd probably wait to buy mine in your situation, figuring that a small snag anywhere along the line could mess up my vacation. I guess it's a case of [best Clint Eastwood voice] "do you feel lucky?"

No advantage to buying in advance unless:

* You think there will be a price increase before you arrive (unlikely in your case)
* You need/want to order the DDE card in advance of your trip
* You need to buy several APs/PAPs and want to spread the cost out over several months.
* You need to book a cash room with an AP discount (and not sure if you actually need an AP to do this)
* Have an irresitable deisre to look at the official WDW Passholders' website right now

Since you have to exchange the voucher(s) for the actual pass(es) at a Guest Relations booth anyway (and need all the same ID), I'd buy on site - unless one of the listed reasons applies.

CarolNM-I'm so glad you mentioned the DDE card! I had wanted to order the card to have in addition to the DDP, but I'll wait for that for our February trip (get six extra months that way too!). We're just taking a quick trip at that time, so I think the DDE card will be a better option than the DDP.

Hey, Granny guy-I think you (and Clint ) hit my situation on the head. *This* punk doesn't necessarily feel lucky 26 days out (26 days- ), so I think we'll just buy the APs at WDW.
