AP "voucher" came with the wrong name-a problem? Other AP ?s too

I am so bummed. I have a hyphenated last name - it's two VERY common names hyphenated - spelled it multiple times for the CM when ordering APs for DS and myself. The name is completely wrong, though somewhat recognizable I guess as me. The ticket center is closed (they close at 2:45 pm my time! I can call them tomorrow) but I just wanted to see if anyone had any input. Will they accept my photo id since it is the wrong name? I just don't want my records to be wrong with multiple entries all over the place. Also, I made about 5 PSs with the same CM - guess I will have to re-check them all. My name was screwed up approximately half of the time for our PSs in December and that was AFTER double-checking them, in fact, we were almost turned away from the CR's parking lot when they couldn't find our CM PS. I don't what about it can't be grasped. Not too impressed with CM's listening skills!

Finally, my "voucher" is bright green and actually says "exchange certificate" for an "Annual Parkhopper". Is this normal? I was hoping to order the DDE card and was waiting for my voucher to be able to give them the number from the back. Am I not going to be able to do this? Or will they have my name in their system? Oh, wait WRONG NAME so I guess not. I didn't get a single bit of info about having an annual pass with my voucher. Is THAT normal and why the heck wouldn't I have received something in writing about the benefits?

I am so peeved at Disney right now that I am regretting ordering the stupid thing. Grrrrrr :charac2:
 
AS far as exchanging your voucher for an AP, there shouldn't be any problem, they can correct the error when they issue the actual pass. I would call and explain the situation to DDE, but it probably won't make a lot of difference...just try to verify that they have your name correct on the DDE card.

Yes, that green color is normal for a voucher..
 
Thanks Chuck. Will I get the AP benefits info when I turn in the voucher then? Sorry to be so dramatic about my disappointment but I have been waiting excitedly several weeks for these vouchers and ... it just wasn't wasn't what I expected at all.
 
Wow, they must have changed things. The last time I ordered AP vouchers they were bright green but had no name on them at all.

I don't think you will have problems ordering the DDE card. I have heard that some people have just told the DDE people that they will be getting an AP when they get there and they have given them the AP discount.

Similar experience here! Mine had no name but was purple! :)
 
Spelling anything over the phone is always problematic.

Ask the person on the phone to spell your name back to you. If it is wrong, start over.

If it seems like the person on the other end of hte phone has trouble understanding you, feel free to ask for a supervisor and yo can mention to the supervisor is that there seems to be a language barrier.

Finally ask for written confirmation of everything you do over the phone and also everything you do on line (learn how to print screen for the latter).

I just buy my AP and as much stuff as I can when I get there. Eliminates some of the problem of wasting long distance minutes trying to communicate

Does the Contemporary not let you park to eat in their restaurants with no priority seating? You can also ask to see Guest Relations, posint that question is meant to consume time and perhaps induce the guard to let you in rather than rattle off, slow enough for you to write down, driving directions to Guest Relations at some other location.
