AP/Villains AH ticket question

My mom has purchased an annual pass but not activated it yet. (We were supposed to be there right now.) I have a solo trip in June (fingers crossed) and she’d like to gift me a ticket to Villains After Hours for my birthday present. Can she do that with her AP discount without activating her ticket? She’s now planning to activate it in November and go again in November 2021.

That cannot happen, regardless.
It is impossible to activate an AP without doing so by being physically at WDW and showing a legal photo ID.

As to being able to buy a ticket with an AP discount using only a non-active AP certificate... maybe.

Thanks for taking the time to answer! Knowing that it wouldn’t activate her AP, she logged on and was able to purchase the ticket.
