My family and I all have Deluxe passes. Mine and my daughter's expire in June and I was thinking of upgrading just mine to Premium so I could get the parking and discounts in the stores etc. The question I have is would I still get the discount if I upgraded? In other words I have heard you get like 20 bucks off the prices if you renew so if I renewed AND upgraded at that time would I get 20 bucks off the price of a premium? I hope that makes sense.

And since I would be changing to a premium would I have to get a new pass that says this or could they use my picture from last year and just change it to premium?

Hope that makes sense. LOL.

I've thought about doing this too, but could never bring myself to put up the money. I know they will use your same picture on file, and just mail you a new pass that says Premium. What I don't know is if the renewal discount applies. I remember seeing a check box for Premium on our renewal letters, I just don't remember if the cost was $20 less or not. I'm trying to get into the AP site right now because I know they have the renewal request on there, but it's not letting me in.

ETA: just saw your next trip is in Feb, we are considering 2/23-25. Just not sure if I want to brave the President's week crowds.

Thanks. Yeah I don't like crowds either but we have done 2 trips in the past few months on days when the park sold out and still managed to have fun. My girls have that whole week so I figured we can deal with it.

Maybe we'll see you there. :)

Just got into the AP site. Yes you do get the discount. The price for the Premium listed on the renewal form is $339. Regular price is $359.

Or as an option, you can add parking to a Deluxe for $59. We always stay within walking distance so I haven't done this. Plus you miss out on the additional discounts.

Be on the lookout for a redhead with a green button on my backpack with DIS and got2travel on it.

Thanks! Yeah after I talked to you I called Disney while I was waiting to pick my daughter up from school and they confirmed that. I actually don't care as much about the parking as I do the extra discounts on food and to get the discount in the stores. We always end up buying stuff and the discount would be nice.

Do you remember when they had the disney membership cards? I don't even remember what they were called but it was like Disney club or something. You paid I think 25 bucks for the card and it got you discounts etc. Well now you can only get that with the premium pass or a disney visa which unfortunately we had a bankruptcy 7 years ago so I still can't get one. :(

I would REALLY use it to. But anyway I guess I will do the premium pass for now.

See you there ;)

This is what we look like. DH won't be going and we will be with my mom but this is the girls and I so if you see us say Hi! Oh and my name is Kelly by the way so you don't have to say "hey you" LOL.

The cards were Magic Kingdom cards, I think. You could get them free from where you worked and you got special deals back when they still had ticket books.
