AP upgrade with Memory Maker

I purchased a 10 day park hopper as part of a MYW free dining package. If I upgrade to a Platinum Annual Pass during the trip, would the additional cost be $280 plus tax? ($749 Annual Pass - $469 current price of 10 day park hopper)?

If I upgrade to an annual pass, can a Memory Maker advance purchase be refunded? It seems like I wouldn't need the Memory Maker, since the annual pass includes PhotoPass downloads.

749 plus tax. It comes in just under 800. You only pay the difference as you stated

MM is non refundable but I'm told depending on the cast member, they can sometimes work something out

Thanks for the info. I am planning on doing something similar soon. Does the PhotoPass work just like the Memory Maker, where I can link up everyone in my party on MDE and share the photos?

I'm planning on doing the same thing before I head out to my trip next Saturday. I need to call Disney to take off the MM and I'm hoping they can do without penalty. Have you done it yet successfully?
