AP Ticketless Package

I'm booking for my 12 day Disney May 2015 trip either tonight at midnight/ or 6 A.M. tomorrow morning. I have an AP and want to book DDP. I've heard that if i book a ticketless package, then I can't apply any later discounts on my room? Therefore, should I book the ticketless package on the phone with the DDP, or purchase a one day ticket to get on the plan and then have them apply my one day ticket cost to next year's AP renewal?

As long as there's availability at the resort you have booked when AP discounts are released, you can have the discount applied at a later date. Both RO and (ticketless) AP + dine packages can have an AP discount applied after booking as long as there is availability.

There's no benefit to booking a package tomorrow unless you dont mind paying rack rate. If you book the room tomorrow it doesn't place a hold on that room for when the AP rates come out. You would have to rebook with an AP discounted package and then cancel the one you make tomorrow anyway.

However, you can apply the one day ticket to next years AP but the most cost effective thing to do is wait until the AP rates are released for that time frame. Unless you're booking a hard to get hotel such as the Contemporary, WL, POFQ or POP.
