Ap Special Rates w/o Disneylink

SO in the past disneylink would flash and come up on my screen when there was a special discount/rate. As we go into January where traditionally there have been larger discounts....do you think the best stratagey is to check the ap site daily? I loved that disneylink used to give me a notice so I could check it out- I miss it. I went to the AP site today and found this

Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel as low as
$129* from November 14, 2007 to December 15, 2007
$139 from January 6, 2008 to March 6, 2008

Disneyland® Hotel as low as
$149* from November 14, 2007 to December 15, 2007
$159** from January 6, 2008 to March 6, 2008

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa as low as
$199* from November 14, 2007 to December 15, 2007
$259** from January 6, 2008 to March 6, 2008

For reservations, call (714) 956-MICKEY† and ask for rate plan "AP4" or "AP5."

I don't know when the AP5 rates were posted...but I must have missed it!

They popped up like a week and a half ago I believe. I began a thread immediately on here when I saw them. Later that day, the AP5 rates were removed from the site and I think they came back a few days ago. Not sure what that was all about.

The rates went up almost $100.00 from last year, for the GC!!!!!!

Just booked Jan 16-20th yesterday with an AP rate of $351 at GC for a DT view. I saw this posting and thought maybe theer was a better deal- However DLand hotel is sold out and all that is left is GC club level for $580 per nite . YIKES!

So looks like they selling out very quickly (at least for some dates).
