AP Room-Only Release Date for Stays After June 6

I hope for everyone's sake that there ARE weekend rates this time around. I know not that long ago when AP rates were released, they did NOT include weekends.

yes, thank you! I hope they include weekends! pixiedust: Tonight we were talking about it and I'm calling member services in the morning to book our week and then we'll wait to add the weekend when the rates are released, or else I guess we'll be paying more. :headache: I just don't want to use points for the weekend--we're going again in Dec and want to use them then. ;)

Oh, probably, only because I have to be at work before 7 am!! :rotfl2:

:lmao:

could someone please PM me with what this AP is? We just found out we are going to Orlando June 7-14 - for DH conference, so I'm checking to see if it is worth it to stay at a Disney hotel (even value) rather than where the conference is. We may only do a park one day. Thanks.

I think it is ALWAYS best to stay at Disney--the perks are great, plus you never leave the magic!:wizard:

Well...all I can say is that if they don't release AP discounts soon, I will have to cancel the extra 4 days I booked. I would be paying as much for those as I am for the previous whole week I already have.:sad2:

We have APs and hadn't booked a package for years. I now have the 4/3 package and need to make the final payment tomorrow. If APs come out after I pay, what is the penalty for changing to AP rate? And if I add the QSDP (like I have now) the reservation will become a package, so will it be subject to the change fee??? :confused3

I'm pretty sure the change fee for a package within 45 days is $50, but I'm not sure how they handle switching to an AP rate. Technically, switching to an AP requires cancellation of your original ressie, and rebooking with a new confirmation number.

I'm surprised they didn't release an AP discount by now, considering anyone who is beginning their vacation on June 7th will have to pay in full by tomorrow. They usually have released rates at least 45 days before the first date possible for booking with it.

I think if it's a room only reservation, the extra days most likely should be seperate, you should have no problem changing. For room only cancellation is usually 5 days, that would mean changes. I wouldn't think the room only portion is due by the 45 day mark. We had 2 reservations similar to this last year 2 days room only and the rest a FD package. For the room only portion we had to pay the 1 day deposit and pay the other while there, the FD had to be paid when booked in full since it was within the 45 day timeframe. There shouldn't be any problem with this since actually the FD portion of our reservation was a room only first and when the FD for Disney Visa holders came out we changed the room only to the Free dining. We did have 2 reservations all along since the first 2 days were on one AP code and the second portion a new code Sept 27, 2008 ended the first code and Sept 28 a new one started. That was the only way to get the AP discount.

Anyone have any new guesses on when the AP rates might be released? I checked mousesavers for historical release dates and the 2008 release date was May 7th. That was for AP rates starting at the end of May through early August!

I'm seriously starting to think we are looking at mid May. Sigh! :sad2: Oh well. Nothing to do but wait..... and wait......and wait.........!

:fish:just keep checking:fish: just keep checking:fish:

:lmao:

Now I am going to be singing that all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On another note, my package is due Saturday, so I guess I am done waiting for these rates. Unless they substantially beat the through 6/6 rate, it wouldn't be worth it to pay the change fee. I guess we will keep the 4/3 deal and hang onto the useless 1 day tickets for another time...

I couldn't resist! :rotfl:

1 more day, people! 1 more day and we're off to the World. :wizard:

So, false rumors? Are we assuming the rates won't be out until May now?

I have to just go ahead & book my trip and stop worrying about these rates!!
