AP room only discount and Dining--couple of questions

I was able to get AP discount--room only--Dec 6 $99
Dec 7-12 $119 at CSR (really wanted POR or POFQ but those resorts must have been booked up long ago). I've read that Pop Warner has a block of rooms at POFQ. If they are not all used by their group, do you think they might become available with the AP discount closer to December?

Already planned to purchace AP vouchers before my trip because we will have other trips in April and
November/ December 09.

This trip, my daughter will be attending a convention (at the convention center on International Blvd.)
We are not yet sure how much time she will be required to attend convention activities--hopefully, just one full day and a short period 2 other days.

We really want to add the DxDDP to our room only ressie---can this be done and keep the discount on the room we presently have? Sort of sounds like we could only do that if a package discount was available. If we can make the change, how close to our trip can we add the dining?

As far as I know, you can only add the DDP plan to your reservation if it's a package. They won't give you a discount to the room if you have the DDP because they feel you're getting a discount on the food already.

The dining plans are a WDTC exclusive. A room only res is not WDTC.
You would have to book a WDTC package, and cancel your room only, and wait for the refund on your room only.
If you have APs you can book a ticketless package through WDTC. But does not sound like you have those yet.
Just book a WDTC MYW package and upgrade your tickets into APs at one of the parks.
Don't cancel your room only res until you have a package booked that you like.
Packages have to be paid in full at 45 days.
If you had a WDTC package already booked without dining, you could add the dining no later than 3 days/72 hours prior to arrival.
But DDP cannot be added to a room only res.
