AP & room discounts

I was researching ticket prices on disney.com & I think I've decided to buy AP's instead of UPH's. I'm staying Sept 15-22. I was quoted $357 for the UPH's & $369 for AP's.

My thinking is I will gladly pay $12 extra for AP's because I can get all those AP perks.

Now, my question is this - just what kind of perks can I expect? Specifically, what kind of resort discounts are typical for AP holders?

Also, I just wanted to make sure: AP's will get me into PI, DQ, BB & TL, etc, right?

An Annual Pass will get you into AK, MGM, EPCOT and MK. A Premium Annual Pass will get you into PI, DQ, Water Parks also. But, as an AP holder, you can get discounts on the single-day passes to PI, DQ and water parks.

The resort discounts, if they are available, are usually 30-45%!!

Holy moley!! Wow, definitely worth it then! Do you know if I can call & see if AP rates are available for my dates and then decide if I want to buy AP's, or do I have to have AP in hand to ask about AP rates.

PAPs are around $500 and room discounts are not always available.

You can call first to see if a room is available at the AP rate, book it, and then buy one. But you have to have an activated AP to check in, which may mean an extra trip before the hotel (to Guest Services at one of the four main parks or DTD).

AP rates are only currently released through 7/4/04. Since you're traveling after that, you'll have to wait for AP rates for September. I'd expect then sometime mid-summer.

I believe the $369 is without tax. The $392.99 is with the tax included.
