We have had AP for a few years now but because they expired after our last trip and we didn't have on scheduled for a few months we never renewed them. This trip we will have them expire the day we arrive and have another trip planned 5 months later so we will renew. My question is when will the renewal notice come? We leave on 2/12 and I was wondering what the renewal rate will be. I know I can renew at the ticket window at MK, which will be our first stop. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I received my renewel notice a month before they expired. You should get it soon, or you might be able to call Guest Services and see if they can give you the renewal rate.

You may not get a letter. Lots of folks never get one. The letter is not required to do a renewal/

AP renewal includes tax: $350.39 (10+)/$298.20 (3-9)

PAP renewal includes tax: $467.54 (10+)/$397.25 (3-9)

Thanks for the info-
Am I correct in assuming I can renew at the ticket window? I think I was told that a while back but not sure.

The ticket booths at the main parks can do that. I wouldn't suggest attempting it there during the morning park opening rush though.

If the ticket lines are backed up, they will tell sometimes you that they can't do it and send you to Guest Relations. They can do it there but they might not want to hold up the line with you to do it.

Am I correct in assuming that the pass must be renewed prior to expiration? Does it renew the pass you have or do you get a new voucher? If you get a new voucher does the 12 months start at the end of expiration or when the voucher is activated? Thanks!

That is Disney's written policy on renewals. In practice, it's quite a different story. The Guest Relations CM's will do renewals with no problems for a month after your expiration date.

Does it renew the pass you have or do you get a new voucher?...
It depends on how you renew. If you do it by mail or over the phone, you will get a voucher that must be exchanged just like the new AP's do. If you renew in person at WDW, you will get the actual activated pass.

If you get a new voucher does the 12 months start at the end of expiration or when the voucher is activated?
Renewals will always run one year from the date the prior pass expired. It does not matter when you exchange the voucher, the pass will be backdated to run from the original expiration date.
