Quick stupid question about AP renewals........Our AP expired back in April but we are looking to renew. Since time has past do we have to buy a new AP or would we be considered a renewal since we had an AP at one time??

Last question......are the Grand Villa's nicer to stay in rather than a two separate one bedroom units. We will more than likely be traveling down to the F&W in November with friends and kids??

You will need a new pass. Renewals are backdated to begin the day the original pass expired, thus a renewal pass would only be good until April 08.

I can only answer you GV question for OKW, as that is the only GV I've seen.

Yes, the OKW GVs are much nicer, IMO, for a large group than 2 one bedroom units. But, I assume you're talking about an EPCOT area resort, so the GVs may not be as spectacular, as room sizes in general are smaller than at OKW.

You might want to go to the member website and look at the pictures of the units. A GV at OKW or BW would be better than 2 1 BRs. The ones at SSR are smaller but still very nice. Haven't seen the AKV ones except in the pictures so can't really judge the size. How many people and what mix will you have? The two one bedrooms will give you 2 king sized beds and 2 jacuzzis, two bathrooms, and 2 pull out sofas total.
A GV will give you 1 king sized bed, 1 jacuzzi, two queen beds, 2 double beds, a pull out sofa and 4 bathrooms( at least at OKW)
In the 1 BRs you will have people sleeping in a living rooms unless you put air beds in the master bedroom which you may or may not have in the GV depending on how many people you have but I am guessing 8 - 10 depending on the ages of the children since 1 BRs sleep a max of 5.

Some people will say it also depends on how well the people get along. Sometimes the smaller units allow for more privacy and an opportunity to be away from the others in the group for awhile. We have never had this problem and love the GV at OKW but it is something to consider.

I think you only have 30 days from expiration to renew an AP. As Chuck said, the renewal picks up right were the old one left off so a renewed pass would expire one year after the old one expired, some time in April 2008 in your case. You will have to buy new APs but you will have a full year to use them rather than just 4 to 5 months.

Thanks for the info on the AP's, that is what I thought.

As far as the GV, well the mix is friends and their 3 kids which are the same age as my three. But I think the getting away from the action at night may be the best for everyone. Even though I would love to get a GV at the BW I think a break from the friends would be nice as well. We are also very used to the 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom thing.......

I agree with that, unless you are immediate family, it is nice to have a little privacy from one another, even if you are best friends. Ah heck, its even nice with "immediate family" ;)
