AP renewal question

when I renewed my AP's in June we got 20 bucks off. My dh's renews next month and I got a postcard but it says all he gets is 20% off merchandise. I know the prices went up. My question is do you still get 20 off if you renew before the date? If not can I renew AFTER the expiration without having to get new pics? If I am not going to get the 20 bucks I would actually like to wait and renew them closer to our next trip which is in Dec. I have to pay my 6 month car ins the same week and if I can't save the 40 bucks on he and my daughter's passes then I might as well wait but if I have to stand in line and get new pics I don't want to have to do that either. HELP! Any info would be great!

You get $20 off renewal of premium and deluxe passes, but not the socal ones. Last year I renewed my son's pass a month late. He didn't have to have a new photo, but the renewal date for the next year was the same one he had always had, we just lost a month by renewing late.

Yeah we have a deluxe. I was just curious because it said nothing on the postcard about saving 20 by renewing before it expired just that we would get a 20% off merchandise and be able to pick our design. Do you think I can go through the whole process to see if it will give me the 20 off and then cancel at the last minute if it doesn't? Like I said if it doesn't I might as well wait because as I said we have our ins due the same exact week and that is over 1000 bucks in one week OUCH!! LOL. We aren't going back until Dec and so I would rather renew them right before we go and then I have a few more weeks to save the money.

If you are renewing online, the discount will be listed when you put your item in the cart. You should have already received a letter in the mail that you can return your renewal in, and it also will have the discount listed. We've received the postcard from Disneyland reminding us it is time to renew after we have already received the letter of renewal.

Thanks for the info. I got the postcard but no letter for some reason. I will probably get the letter now that I went ahead and did it but you are right. I went to the website and sure enough when I went to the cart it had the 20 off. Since I have to renew by the 10th I just went ahead and did it to save the 40 bucks. Oh well more money on the old credit card LOL. It just stinks cuz we just got back Monday night from a trip plus our insurance and we are going again the first weekend in Dec AND for a week in Feb for my daughter's 16th birthday. OUCH! Oh well. Going to have to buckle down I guess LOL.
