AP renewal later

Three of us have APs, as my DS was only 1 on our last trip. We would like to let our APs expire and buy new ones in a couple years when he needs one too. Will they keep my time of year on file or will we just be buying new ones with a new expiration date? I'd hate to have 3 of us with one expiration date and 1 with a different one if we happen to go at a different time of year!

They'll expire a year after you buy them - your old expiration dates don't affect this at all.

Thank you. That's what I thought, but my friend said I was wrong. She said you never lose your "once upon a time" AP renewal date. Thanks again!

If you don't renew, the next time you go buy a new one and it will be effective one year from that date. We plan our trips to get one in right before it expires and then buy a new one on the next trip thats good for a whole year. Even if you go once a year you can end up buying one every other year.

Example - buy new one second week of Dec in 2001, go first week of Dec in 2002 before it expires, buy new one the second week of Dec 2003, go first week of Dec 2004 before it expires. 4 years - 2 AP's.
