Hi to all my Disney ticket Experts !!:goodvibes...I have a question (well, really 2 questions ).. about the new promo for the 15 month extention on the AP renewal ,which I was told will run until August 31, 2010.
DH and I both have AP`s right now, that will expire on July 14th, 2010...and we are also DVC members....I was wondering if....A- Any of you guys might know if it would be wiser for us to call in the renewal to MS "before" we leave for the world in July, or just wait until we get there to do the renewal (with the DVC discount) ?... B-AND...if we should renew the AP`s when we arrive, can we use the old ones until the 14th, and then renew them for the 15 months?....this is the first time we are doing a renewal...we usually let the AP`s expire, and then just rebuy them ....
Thanks Guys for any and all responses !! :flower3:

15-month offer has been extended past 12/31/2009? From where did this info originate? I haven't heard that.

The last time I looked on the passholder site ...it said...the buy 12 -get 15 months was valid until August 31, 2010. I also called DVC Member Services today and was told the same thing.
Does anyone else know for sure ??????? :scared1:

When you are at WDW you can go to any Park Ticket Window (including water parks and TTC) or Guest Relations Office (including DTD) with your current AP and your DVC Member Card. You will be able to renew (as long as it is within 30 days on either side of the expiration date) and will get a new pass with the 15 month expiration. You can also upgrade to PAP or downgrade from PAP to regular at the renewal rate.

If you renew prior to the expiration date you will still use the old ticket until the expiration date as the new one will not be actually valid until that date.

I believe 12/31/09 was for new Florida Resident AP's. 8/31/10 is for AP renewals (any state).

My last AP expired 10/18/09. I bought my renewal online that week, got a voucher for will call. Then when I arrived at WDW on 12/5/09, I went to the window and got the actual AP with an expiration of 1/18/11. I had to show my member card for the DVC rate.

Yes...this is what I was told today from Member Services, and Cheshire Figment was kind enough to clear it up for me tonight !! :goodvibes
Glad you have your new AP`s with the 3 extra months...can`t wait until Julyto renew ours !! :cloud9:

Oh sweet.

Because my AP expires in May and my daughter's in August.

Tres bien! :)

Yes, August 31, 2010 for renewals. The way I understand it, it is so that everyone with an AP has a an opportunity to receive the renewal promo that started around 8/31/2009.

Yes....its just for "Renewals"...this will be the first year we are going to Renew, we usually let our AP`s expire...then buy them again, but this promo "Get 15 months with a 12 month renewal " is great...so we are renewing in July !! :cloud9:
