AP renewal dates

Do the annual passes expire on the month or by exact date? If we were to buy AP's on June 2, 2004, would they need to be renewed on June 2, 2005 or "in June" 2005.

We're trying to use an AP to cover a June1-5 2004 and June 21-24, 2005 trip.

Is this possible with the same year AP?

My understanding is that they expire on the exact date that you validate them, only one year later. If you reversed your June dates you would be ok. We did Aug last year and are doing July this year to get in 2 trips.
